Choose dedicated solar PV cable and compatible connectors for the DC side of a photovoltaic installation. Compare conductor size, voltage rating, temperature range, sheath construction, UV and weather resistance, approvals and drum or cut length. Connector families that look similar are not automatically compatible: use approved matching connector pairs, the correct contacts and the specified crimping tools. Cable sizing and string design must consider maximum current, voltage drop, route, grouping and environmental conditions, with isolation and protection selected as part of the complete DC design.
